Dori Baker

Loving mother, wife, daughter, and friend

Dori brought so much joy and love with her everywhere she went.  Light truly shone from within her and touched so many lives. She was the ultimate hostess for summer bbq's and Steeler Superbowl parties. She was the one who had every right to complain about her situation, but instead decided to always "dance in the rain." She loved to give and donate to others. She never missed a baseball or football game or a cheerleading competition. She was truly the best mom her three kids could have ever imagined.

She fought the most courageous fight for 4 years against stage IV breast cancer all while keeping a smile on her face. Her love lives on, and she continues to inspire so many each and every day. She is the reason so many people offer to help and donate to Corn Hole for the Cure each year. She is the reason we have been able to donate over $35,000 towards breast cancer research to date. We all want to help her continue and FINISH her fight.  We so strongly believe that one day, we will.

Why Carly does Corn Hole for the Cure:

"Some of my most cherished memories involve beautiful summer days with friends and family playing lots and lots of corn hole. (You'd think I'd be better at it by now!) My mom was always up for a corn hole tournament and a good time. Coupling these amazing memories with a strong desire to continue my mom's fight, Corn Hole for the Cure was born. My mom taught me a lot growing up. The things that have stuck with me the most were her ability to always find the good in a not so good situation, her unwavering kindness and generosity, and her ability to always make everyone feel welcomed. I wanted to create a fundraiser that fully embodied my mom, that brought people together, and that made a big impact on such a terrible disease. I truly believe that what we are doing is helping get us closer to finding a cure. I cannot believe the success we have had, and I cannot explain how grateful I am to everyone who comes and supports our cause year after year. It means the world. Together, we continue my mom's fight; tossing cancer out of sight."
